77, 2009
In the atelier, we got tasked to take one photo everyday, for a period of one term, which is 77 days. Every day, respectively every night I wanted to experience a miracle and capture it, and so I mostly went outdoors somewhere, often not alone.

Road, Crete 2010One night I spent on a plateau, where only goats lived during the night, and there were old, stone, long-abandoned round houses of shepherds. I made a fire in one of them and spent the night. The light which filled the rounded room was warm, like never before or after, and was as if from different times. |

How large the world must be for the ones who are small. I wanted to see the world through their eyes for a moment, so I created a digital pinhole camera for which the depth of field is the same from the first to the last milimeter. In order to do so, instead of using a lens, I used just the lens cover with very a small hole. Together with this and my father’s collection of butterflies and moths, I went out into the woods.

Dream, 2008
Dreams mean so much to me, even be they the most terrifying, I feel really good in them. They prevent me from going mad from reality, which pesters and pesters, and they substitute much of what I need that is not possible in this world.
